Well I guess you want courthouse stories! The only short story is more of a dummy store that I can tell. I went to one of my smaller county courthouses that have like 10-15 steps up to get to the front and back doors of the courthouse. On arrival there was caution yellow tape - the kind the police leave at the scene of a crime and a note you could read on the door that said use side doors. Well I went to the side doors and they were locked. I came back and told my client something serious must have happened at the courthouse and told them about the tape etc. only to find out the next day that the tape was there because of the ice storm that week - they didn't want anyone to get hurt walking up the steep steps (this was last year) and all the doors were locked because they were closed for the day - because they were moving offices that day. Did I call my clients back when I found out the truth - heck no - I was too embarrassed - lol. There had been several courthouse shootings in Texas in the last couple of years and I just assumed the worse. So there is my best courthouse story, at least until I remember another one.
