Dear Jason, I am sorry for your loss and Loretta, for the pain and suffering one drunk driver caused your family. I told my older son a story when he was entering his teenage years - a true one at that. A car filled with kids left a party and went down the road. One of the kids asked the driver to let him out at the 7-11 right there - he was going to call someone to get him. Of course he was made fun of for making this "wonderful" judgment decision. He was let out of the car and two blocks away, all the other kids were killed in a car wreck. I told him there are a lot of things in life you may make a mistake in doing - but don't take a chance doing one that will possibly take a life, and maybe not yours and you would be the one to live with that the rest of your life - killing someone.
While we are at it, please remember to read the cautions on your prescription meds about driving. The man that could have killed my son passed out at the wheel with his foot on the accelerator - on his prescription depression meds - "with cautions about driving on them" - you carry alot of liability driving not knowing the effects those type drugs can have on you. That accident will forever change my son's life.
