I do sales for a title company here in Cleveland as a favor/part-time gig.
Here are a few of the instances I have run across with mortgage brokers.
1. I explain our exemplary service and committment.
Reply "Do you have box seats?"
2. I explain our exemplary service and committment.
Reply, "How many games are you taking me to in a year?"
3. I exaplain our exemplary service and committment.
Reply, "Will you do an A.B.A.?"
I reply, "Now why in the world would I want to take part of your profits you worked so hard for?"
Reply, "I meant..."
I interrupt, "You meant what?" (As I stare them straight in the eyes.)
Conversation ends.
People aren't even being discrete about it anymore, they are just brazenly asking me how far I am going to break the law. I even had one individual tell me that title insurance was just a scam. I gave him a verbal beating explaining the foundation of this entire country's economy and further more the world, is based upon a persons net worth which is indicative of ownership of real property, which is insured by yours truely.
It just goes to show you any moron can sell loans or houses nowadays, but it's left to the title insurance industry to keep things on the up and up.
Just my two cents worth.
George
