Very interesting, Kevin. Thank you for providing this factoid to us. I have often wondered what singled Friday the thirteenth out as such a wretched day. Everyone knows that the number 13 has negative implications, but it's interesting to see why.

I also find it interesting because I once studied in France and the information I was taught about King Phillip and his problem with the Templars remarkably ignored any debt held by the Gallic Empire. Funny that the French may have put a slight twist on things...
