Registering to Vote Could Cost You Your Identity
As a young private investigator in the 90's I often went first to the election records to find a subject's Social Security number. It was a rich source of sensitive information that every investigator knew he could rely on. I never dreamed anyone would be so stupid as to publish this information on an Elections Website.
This will be the feature article in this week's News For Public Officials. I wanted to let readers here know first, especially readers in the Chicago Area. The rest of you may want to check your own election sites to see what they are telling about you.
Elections Website Exposed Over 1 Million Voters to Identity Theft and Voter Fraud
A civic organization in Illinois recently showed officials how they found sensitive personal information including everything identity thieves and election fraudsters would need on the Board's Website.
