This is still one of the best economies this country has seen in a while. Unemployment is holding at around 4.5 percent, the stock market has been breaking record highs left and right, and interest rates are still pretty steady. There may be areas where the local markets aren't doing very well, but the overall picture still looks good. Keep in mind that this so-called "slump" is a drop from record high sales activity. Real estate is still one of the best investments out there.
I realize it's hard to be optomistic when you live in New Jersey, (LOL), but I don't buy all this doom and gloom that the "hit-and-run" media puts out. They need to get their ratings, and they have a vested interest in putting out bad news. As the saying goes, "if it bleeds, it leads".
