Well...first of all trial lawyers practice in the area of litigation, and unless they also practice in the area of real estate...have nothing to do with consumers in a real estate transaction. With respect to the area of real estate...I think the real threat is from the lenders and title companies seeking to squeeze funds from everyone else in the transaction to maximize their own profits. ultimately the homeowner is the loser. I think if you take a look at the featured articles on SOT this week...you will see a number of law enforcement articles concerning abuses. So far I have not seen any involving law firms. Unfortunately, your opinion seems to be that espoused by the uninformed.
