I used to love my torts class. It is an area of the law that reflects all the foibles of human nature. I remember reading another case (can't remember the citation) in which a woman had taken an advance on her salary from her employer to buy a set of false teeth. She decided to quit her job before she had worked off the advance. When she told the employer she was quitting, he forcefully reached into her mouth, and pulled out the false teeth to hold them as security for her repayment of the debt. Needless to say she sued him.
