Hi David,

I took a look at your list of I D theft victims and see that you included Ed Romaine in it. Many of us pretty much have our doubts that about claim (him being a victim).  We believe Ed Romaine used this as a way to do damage control for his online program having blown up ( newsday article about the Clerks website containing ss #).  He along with acting Clerk Judy Pascale made claims that they had their staff check the records and only found less than ten (we have one deed where over 80 were contained in it). He was running for a seat on the legislative body when he made that remark.
Suffolk County Clerk Judith Pascale made statements (when she was running for the clerks office) that the system was not going back online. We have just learn that the Clerks office has been sending out letters to the title companies and agents.  The letters are saying that they will be back online in the near future. As we have all heard this is for the benefit of the public.  I just still have not figured out what public they are referring to, India, Pakistan, Afganistan.  Just don't know.................
