We subscribe to Laredo, but have to go into the courthouses anyway. The information is only as good as the people at the courthouse and how accurate they are at entering the information. We have had a lot of trouble with courthouse employees not entering the correct legal descriptions, or entering legal descriptions at all, on several documents. We have had to be quite creative on our searches in order to find our documents. In running grantor/grantee, we have to spell the names in many different forms, in order to find our property to be searched, because it isn't listed in the legal description searches. We pay $150.00 per month for Laredo, and can't even begin to afford Tapestry, as it is a per document charge of about $5.00 per document, if I remember correctly. Depending on the courthouses, document retrieval on Laredo/Tapestry only goes back a few years, here it is to 1991, and we have several years missing on the images. (1993, 1998-1999). It is great for ownerships, but not for full searches or in some cases, 2 owner searches. I hope this is helpful.
