The best day of business in the past year with respect to real estate was the day that we started bundling services. It was most amusing to listen to the VM's attempting to dictate prices and terms of service, and to simply tell them "no".
Under our current procedure, We do not accept abstracting work unless we also get the closing and recording that goes with it. Under this arrangement we can usually meet the abstracting price requested by the VM, and make it back on the increased closing fees. If the VM's don't like it...give it to the Indians.
