I always get a copy of the 1003 when I close a loan, but I never provide it to the examiner. I review it, and if there is something there that I think the examiner might have missed, I will ask that it be double checked. However, there is personal information on the 1003 that should not be shared.
The credit report is another issue. Because the 1003 is completed by the borrower, they may omit some items that appear on the credit report; either because they are unaware of it, or they are trying to hide it. However, I have never been provided a copy of the credit report by a lender. I'm sure that is something that is not shared due to privacy concerns.
Best,
Robert A. Franco
