I just wanted to let everyone know that we have a couple new faces on the NALTEA Board this year.
Lynn Hammett
Pat Scott
Tim Lunn
are starting their 2nd year as board members

LaWanda McMillian &
Mary Mitchel
are the newest members on the board.

Rick Martinez and I were the last remaining members from the original board.  It is hard to believe that it has been 2 1/2 years.
I have enjoyed my time as a board member & was very honored to  serve as president this past year.  Altho there are no stipulations as to how many times you can be elected to the board I believe that it is important to have new people with fresh ideas added to the board.  I believe the way to keep NALTEA in touch with all abstractors is to try to get as many people involved as we can.
So I want to wish the new board the best.  Mary Mitchel has been elected as president.  I have known Mary for close to15 years.  She is a very knowledgeable title person & will do a wonderful job as president.  Robert Franco was elected as vice president.  I know from experience what a marvelous VP he can be.  I will be taking on the job as treasurer.  We are still looking for someone to be secretary.  The secretary manly takes notes of our board meetings once a month.  So give us a call, all you note takers.

Although I was not able to attend this past conference, I could almost feel as though I were there, when I read Jarrod's article posted on the home page.  I invite all to read this article & get some idea of what we are doing.  Thank you again for all the encouragement & support.

Mary I won't wish you luck---you won't need it!!!  But I will say best wishes.
