Business is business. If we don't know that, then we are naive.
But...
Since when, in this culture, did lying and iron-fist rule become acceptable?
Not just with payment matters but other interactions.
I apologize for keeping this cryptic but there are obvious reasons for that.
We're
all used to being "mislead" on collections but in the last week, was
flat-out lied to by a vendor manager and that's not speculation but a
fact.
Last week, another client, despite one-day turnarounds on
ALL ORDERS, despite them losing original faxes, getting snotty about it
(does this happen to you too, where some clients talk down to you for
all requests, just seeing you as dirt?), and then when you protest that
behavior in a controlled manner, the work disappears because they
decided to throw a fit and punish. This is a major company too. And
they are such good people that they are, um...late, on payment.
There
are some great companies to work with in this business but some people
who have zero people skills, selfish punks all around, no character,
and will take from you but then not live up to their end of the bargain
with either mutual respect nor compensating on time.to post a reply:
