I recently completed a search requested as "Current Owner"
Well, there was a private mortgage executed by the "Current Owner"  to  a party that had recently purchased the property at a foreclosure sale.  Turns out the foreclosed party had an outstanding judgment against them that apparently had not been resolved. So there you go, for my "Current Owner", I had to search the CURRENT OWNER, the PRIOR OWNERS (2 names) AND THE 3RD PRIOR OWNER(2 names) = 3 OWNERS. All the liability and all for a small fee that wouldn't even buy dinner at a decent chain restaurant AFTER TAXES.
Sheesh....
