Well, let me chime in since I'm a Florida abstractor. Dream on with the $125 for a current owner. $50 is about the average for a good paying client. Some want to pay about $25 for a current owner down here. Thanks Newbies!!!! Our out of state competitors are also a big help. Wait no, when they can't do it ONLINE, they call us to get their old deeds and mortgages. Just a hint to you VM companies that hire someone in California to do a current owner in our fair state. That's my two cents, which I'm always happy to give...... Good luck in Florida, we've been here over 7 years and have great clients and contacts. To get in the business now, not so good. Please keep your prices competitive. You guys are killing us with the $20 searches.
