Wendi -- we have problems similar to these in counties within the upper state of SC too.  I think it should be required training for those working in the county offices to learn how important every aspect of their records being accurate and reliable affects us as abstractors passing the information on to our clients as it appears at that moment on that particular day that we are doing our search.  (IT SHOULD NOT CHANGE!!)  I have also experienced records being out of the office and not available for viewing.  Requiring the exam to be incomplete until the records return and I can schedule returning to view them. I hope today is a better day for you.
