The mayor in one of the cities where the county seat is has decided that we should have to pay occupational tax on every thing we do in that county.  (1% of our fee)  I don't see how he can do this, alot of our work is not for property that is in that city but in the county.  He said because the court house is in the city that we owe this tax, the court house is a county building not city.  He also wants the county clerk to let him know when someone comes in to do title work.  I think he is nuts!!!
