I would still suggest that you write him a letter instead of just an email. Email is quick and impersonal. A formal letter on your company letterhead shows that you took the time to think about this longer than it took to write an email. Or, depending on the level of your relationship with the client, a handwritten note of appreciation would be better. I feel the email was a discussion, which is appropriate for email, but a letter or note will elevate you above the others and reiterate your thoughts on the matter. Think about the times you have had contact with an attorney or such. They MIGHT communicate by email or phone, but when it is IMPORTANT, they ALWAYS follow with a letter. I think this is one of those times. just my opinion.
