They're gone, Sherry.  You can hire a lawyer and sue, but if they declare bankruptcy, you'll just end up standing in line behind everyone else.  Turn them over to a collections specialist and see what happens, but I wouldn't waste the time for that small a sum of money.  (They owe me something like $8,000...I've already tried to collect.)  -- Alix
