I have had the deep-fried turkey as well. I've a brother-in-law who makes it that way and it's great. Kevin's right about how fast it takes to do the whole thing. It always amazes me that more people don't do their turkey this way simply because of how quick it allows them to cook the bird. In today's world, it seems like too few people favor taking their time to do anything, but, in this case, the end result isn't sacrificed for speed.
You can't put the stuffing in it, though. Just a warning. Thanks for the information on the turducken; I knew what it was actually, but I wondered if anyone had made it or had eaten it over the years. It gained some national attention after Hurricane Katrina and it seemed like everyone from The Food Network to Martha Stewart was making it. I don't know how anyone could eat that and have room in their bodies to consume anything else.
