I had this abstractor who was out of Charlotte who contacted me about doing a search for him in Davidson Co in Sept. I did the search and got paid. Then he sent another search in early October which I did but now when I ask about payment he says he is "hounding the client for payment..and will email and payment once he receives payment."..that was Oct 31 and I completed the search on Oct 9th (His due date). I again email about Nov. 6 to check on it again..got an email that said "I am in the same boat. Here is email I received today from client who is paying for foreclosure searches. I will email you once payment is received."  The email was from a Darrell B. Brown of MR Default Services out of Roswell, GA and it said "The other invoices are waiting on approval."The date of that email was Nov. 6. Ok, I have emailed "Ujamaa Legal Services- Jonathan Miller" out of Charlotte again today as well as last week refaxing my invoice and asked for status. Have heard nothing. I also told him  in my email I sent today that it wasn't my problem that HIS client hadn't paid him and that I had contracted through him and that I would do what I need to do to get paid..including using legal recourse. Anybody heard of this MR Default Services in Ga???. I am hoping to get in touch with this Darrell Brown and ask him if he has paid Mr. Miller before I ask my attorney to send a formal demand letter.Is there such a thing as this company? Right now I am wondering if this Jonathan Miller in Charlotte made it up. What else can I do and any other ideas about how to proceed??
