http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080113/ap_on_bi_ge/recession_odds

Here is the article from Yahoo- it seems now that the Fed has made sure we have no money to spend, they want us to spend what little we have left to fix their debacle. How ironic they are- raise the rates so we don't fuel inflation and curb spending and then once that worked so well, they basically have scared everyone into hiding, along with their money, and now they want us to "boost spending.. and revitalize economic activity"- maybe we can use some of their guaranteed high federal salary to "boost spending"
Tell me what I am missing with all of this manipulation that the Fed plays with- Like Jim Cramer of CNBC has said- "they don't have a clue, not a clue"- maybe they, (the Fed) will finally be getting a clue as the the destruction their actions has brought about with our economy and country is now showing up everywhere- no jobs, no money, no housing- maybe we are in for a look at what it was like for our parents and the depression of the 20's.
Maybe if we had a Congress that was more "do something" and less "investigate and do nothing" we just might have averted this, but that is probably not a real possibility- we elected these people on their promises to propose change-unfortunately, they don't promise to do much more than that- all one has to do is watch C-SPAN and try to understand why no one is there or when they are- they just mill around, wouldn't that be nice if our jobs only required we walk around and visit with friends and collect the check, and our work week was like theirs, Tuesday through Thursday- with some obvious actions being done late at night, just so some can "see" we are working.
Just some Sunday thoughts while I await the Monday morning onslaught of incoming "work"- which of late has been "silence".
