[-] LET THE CAMPAIGNING BEGIN - Jan Forster (5 replies)

It's no secret how I feel about the way the conference agenda is progressing. After much thought and genuine concern, I am now making it clear to SOT members why I feel this way.

All I know about members so far is what they post. All opinion of them has been formed by their written word or reaction to others' written words. This includes Richard Martin and Scott Perry and it most certainly includes Jay Duncan.

Richard Martin and Scott Perry graciously accepted the challenge to begin the effort of a national association but were then publicly dismissed by Jay Duncan. How they have handled this rude aside should be noted. How Jay Duncan has handled criticism and opposition and even suggestion should also be noted.

I don't know Scott Perry or Richard Martin, but I felt confident after seeing their history of posts and stance on fairness and the title industry in general, as well as their professional experience, that they would be excellent choices for leadership. You don't have to agree with me. But I do ask that you look at Jay Duncan's responses to similar situations and then make every effort possible to attend this conference or demand a write-in ballot so that you may choose the leader YOU think best.

Look at posts by Walt Yager. Nena Dysinger-Rybarczyk. Scott Perry. Richard Martin. Mark Russomanno. Ed Duggan. And so many more. All of these fine people have the interest of our group as a whole.

If this is truly to be a democratic process, let your voices be heard.
