I bet that most of the poor saps (citizens) paying the reocording
fees didn't know that
a "technology" fee that was tacked on to each recording- a fee of between $3-$5 over the years- and so it was the users and citizens that had documents recorded that funded the entire project-
was beening paid by them to put the info out online for the searchers
in India.
Only in America, can we pay for Indians to use our "technology".
