Im not really sure that having E&O insurance helps the client. The fact is that I havent found one customer who understands what it is for. It doesnt protect the client, it protects the holder of the policy. The policy holder does not have to file a claim unless they want to. They wont file a claim because they will most likely get dropped and not be able to get a policy elsewhere. The customer cannot file a claim against the policy. It seems to me to be a false sense of security and a great moneymaker for the insurance companies. Nevertheless, the customers want it so we pay those premiums.
