I think that is a fabulous idea. I am in Virginia and we do not have to have a license or certification to be an abstractor, but we do need to be licensed to underwrite. I feel that abstractors need to be licensed. Afterall, it is our work the underwriters use to create those policies. houldn't we all have similar standards to our work?
