Though it seems my idea was a welcome one for a future conference, it was not my intention to have anyone assume that I was wanting to invite an insurance company as you have mentioned Scott. I to am an independant abstractor. My company is small, Myself and 2 other examiners and a part time office person. I do not want to have anyone think that I owe them either by having an insurance company 'foot the bill'. My idea was to have a computer company to share software and networking and wireless ideas, another company who trains office staff to run an office smoothly and perhaps someone else who had the 'paperless' office ideas and technology. These type of vendors to not put out alot of money to be there. They are just happy to have their products known and shared.
I would be happy to chair an event committee as Robert had mentioned. I have done these things in the past, and I would not intend to have an insurance company as a major vendor at any of them. There are just too many and too much competition. But I would like to however have 2 or 3 different 'speakers' from insurance companies at a seminar for educational purposes.
