Hi, Loretta,
I was going to try to post a few words of encouragement for you here because I like to try to stay upbeat and positive, but there's probably not much I can say except that you're not the only one. We were doing between 60-75 orders a month during the "boom", now we're lucky to make 25 in a month these days. When we were doing well, my wife never had to work, but she's out 3-4 days a week with a cleaning crew and I'm doing project work and taking odd jobs wherever I can find them. Right now, we're in a sort of "holding pattern" trying to bring in enough to keep the ship afloat until the storm passes.
I believe that your children will be better for the experience even though right now every day is a struggle. Our daddy was a blue-collar guy who worked hard to support our mom and five of us kids through layoffs, strikes and plant closings and it taught us some really hard lessons about what's truly important in life. I certainly will remember you and your loved ones in my prayers. Although you and I have technically never met, I consider you a friend and part of my "extended family" here on Source of Title. Something tells me better days are ahead for us all.
Take care and God bless,
Scott Perry
