We are looking at new phone options in an effort to cut telephone and fax expenses without cutting quality.

I have seen threads about a service that allows you to receive a fax via email.  What service do you find most reliable?

Also, any input on long distance carriers to cut costs (VOIP possibly?)

My partner is looking at options and I am trying to get the benefit of your experience to make the process less painful for him.
