Jessica:
Thanks again for your post- I can understand your point of view-and also feel I made the right decision- while I took the deal they offered , it also included future work- which at the time was something that was attractive-since a lot of my regular title work was looking to just drop off with the re-fi debacle looming and congress was doing their normal "asleep at the Gov desk" looking out for themselves.
As for the Indian connections- I feel the same way you do- but also think that most of that is the result of the American(1st?) promotion of that avenue for titles- they push it on their agents with money deals that are hard to turn down-( except the eventual claims that seem to follow)- I know I am not or would never promote that kind of title search data- thos companies are mostyly shams with nothing to back them up(as I have said many times on here about them) they are just a lot of fancy words and titles that are meaningless- there is usually nothing there to indicate they actually do titles.
My decision to "work" with them was driven purely from an economic stand point, we agreed on payment time frames on all future orders- this allowed me to closely monitor them and not let things get over loaded- and also to continue to receive work from them, which meant money coming in, which just might have not been the case with the slow down that was occuring with regular title requests.
I have to at least make it known that they have been a good customer since the "new" company has been involved- and as a number of the replies in this thread haqve indicated-I have received 3-4 e-mails outside of this that were ALL very positive.
