Beware of checks received in error from Transtar National Title. I received a check from Transtar and deposited it. It came back today as "Frozen/Blocked Account" with a service charge from my bank for $6.00. An employee from Transtar told me they made a number of errors in payment. She said that they would refund my bank's service charge.
My question is why they did not notify me of their error. I have done business with this company and haven't yet determined that the payment was in error.
My advice to every one is just to be careful with checks received from this company, as you will apparently not receive any prior notice from them of their error. But rather a statement from Transtar asking you why you made the deposit.
