WOW! That reminds me of when the water tower on the roof of the San Mateo County courthouse in California broke many decades ago. While on the 6th floor of a 8 - story building, the water soaked the paper records books rendering a quarter of them unopenable. Most were on microfilm by then, but every once in a while an abstractor still needs a copy from the old books and, although the books are now housed miles away in storage, we still imagine the sound of the paper being torn as it slowly separates with that horrible, HORRIBLE sound!
