I too had the snow day yesterday.  I did try to make it to work.  I live in Delaware and work in Dublin (Ohio) which is noramally a 35 minute drive form my little Sunfire.  No major highways, unless you count  RT. 257 (no can't really count that).  All back country roads so you would think it would be a breeze.  Even on a good day a "non-familiar" driver will make me 10 - 15 minutes late.

So, I finally make it up to the Dublin area after about an hour or so and two calls to my boss to let him know I am still coming but I am just past the Cols. Zoo coming up on Hard Road for those familiar with the area when I get a call from my boss telling me to go ahead and turn around because it is going to keep on getting worse.  Too Funny - I had to break out in laughter - because I was almost there.....

So, I finally get turned around and start my drive home - another hour later I made it home.  I made up a few minutes because I just happen to get turned around and stuck smack behind the snow plow!!  Sweet it was - got to go 5 mph faster but it was a consistant speed, not all that of no heere comes opposite traffic I have to slow down cuz I don't know how to drive.  Ttop speed of the day 35mph which for me is extremely slow.   You know it is a bad road day when I can't get over 30.

Today was a pretty good drive tho....speed limit all the way baby!!!  I only had to pass 2 people, ya know the ones I mean.  Slow drivers are the worst.  If you are too scared to drive then pull over or call in and don't go out side.  I grew up in the country where drifts would be 3 - 6 feet and school was hardly ever closed. My bro drove a 69 Camero and taught me how to drive in the snow so it urks me when I get stuck behind.  For the record, because I am sure many are saying "how reckless she is and she's the one we see in the ditch wrecked", etc, etc, ...I have never had a snow related accident - not ever!!!

Good times that was - donuts and fishtailin - whew, the good ol'days.
