According to what I've read, Geitner only paid two years worth of taxes after he got audited and was not forthcoming about another two years taxes he owed.  In other words, he only paid taxes on the years that he got caught.

I think the problem lies in the growing number of Obama nominees who have made "innocent mistakes" on their tax returns.
 

Looking at these candidates, it would be hard to imagine that anyone could find they are unqualified for the positions.  That should be the main concern in the confirmation process.

I think the main concern should be, "do these people abide by the same set of rules that they expect the rest of us to follow?", particularly in light of the administration's cries of abuse and excess by corporate America.  The phrase, "limousine liberal" comes to mind.  Three of the President's top picks have had some sort of tax issue.  Two others named for key positions are former lobbyists, even though Obama pledged to ban lobbyists in his administration.  Change we can believe in?  Seems more like "business as usual inside the Beltway".
