I just received a call from a man at First American who was offering me the ability to gain access their database of records covering over 3000 counties across the country. After a short discussion he failed to realize that I had a problem with First American doing this. He could not understand how this database could and will have a negative impact on their agents businesses.
I believe they and others are offering offshore title policies. They own a business offshore (India) and have large vendor management comapanies send their search work to India and the policy is returned to the vendor management company. Again taking the work form US workers.
Does anyone else have a problem with this?
