Has anyone tried arbitrage of foreign currencies lately as a supplemental source of income? I tried it years ago with a moderate degree of success. I am thinking of getting back into it.
At the time I was exchanging American dollars for British pound sterling...British pound sterling for Irish pounds...Irish pounds back to American dollars. There was an equal rate of exchange between the British pound sterling and the Irish pounds, but a $0.10 benefit on each dollar spent for the buy back of Irish pounds for American dollars. What was really great was that you could walk in and out of the bank in an hour with your profit.
You have to watch the rates of exchange on the currencies with which you choose to deal. They change daily or in some cases hourly depending upon the stability of the currency.
