At our office, we are looking forward to finally interacting with others in the same industry as ourselves. I started out over ten years ago as an independent after working over ten years as a title examiner and office manager. Back then, I was unique. Today - I am one of hundreds in St Louis City, St Louis County and St Charles County. And it seems there are endless more joining our troops. I believe it is the wave of the future; and to try to eliminate competition is just not going to work. BUT having a professional organization to belong to - with standards and guidelines that membership entails - will go a long way in establishing credibility for those of us who are proud of what we do and have the experience and demand for quality built within ourselves. It is a daily struggle to maintain my customer base - and it should be so. Nothing like competition forces you to provide a quality service that meets customer standards. I am truly hopeful that this conference will open doors of communication that are productive to our niche in the industry. I believe we will grow in tremendous numbers over time; and need to find common objectives that will prove beneficial to all. Again - looking forward to this conference.
