we had the same issues here in Iowa a couple of years ago. Make sure all your clients get a copy of the requirements, you may have to do this more than once with some. We usually try to make sure the recordings are correct before taking in for recording, otherwise we call the the client and let them know it is short and that a new check needs to be sent. If it's a client you can trust that will reimburse your advance fees quickly, then i'd go ahead and do the recording and pay the extra knowing i'd be reimbursed. I think it is $10.00 here in Iowa when it is not correct in format.
