Can anyone let me know your feelings on charging a fee for having to
return a botched mortgage sent by one of the National VMC's.
They send it with a "garbage legal" even listing the wrong county, and
a check made out to the wrong Reg of Deeds. They want it returned
UPS on their #, I have to travel to a location out of the way of
any search route I follow, take time to pkg and address it and calling in
or faxing the return #. I feel a fee of $ 10 is reasonable, since I'll have to
handle it again when it's sent back corrected. I simply would like to have
them send a good legal and a cut a new check for the correct recorder.
Ideas please. Woulld you feel any different if they sent it to someone else
to recorder after the corrections have been made?
