I found it interesting that an entire page of our local paper this morning was devoted on alerting our community on such scams.  What some may find "obvious" , it is apparently not "obvious" to others, hence the name "scams".  It never hurts to alert others and I am certainly glad you took the time to do so, Deb.  Your words may have saved another from going through this roller coaster ride of emotions and, like me, send your message on to everyone I know.  I can certainly see how easy it was to take advantage of your in-laws by pulling on their heart strings but I can also see why someone like George may not be taken being able to see the "obvious" . Your in-laws sound like wonderful people, Deb - true Americans!!
