The clients who balk at this have never gone out and done a search. The have no idea how much time it takes to do such a search.

Last week we had a search in Wisconsin where the client wanted a 24 month chain but the warranty deed needed to go out of family, and on this particular property it had been in family since the 50's. I charged my client an additional $200 after calling them and letting them know this would be the cost or they could reassign  the order. They chose to keep the order with me.

Fortunately there are companies out there who do know how much work something like this can be and understand that you are going to charge more.

The work we do is valuable and should be rewarded accordingly.
