I got a call from Infinity International Processing Services today. I had done one thing for them a couple of years ago that they did pay so I said okay to a new order. They are a little hard to understand and kind of a pain to deal with but I try to remember customer service etiquitte. Most likely from India (outsource company) I got the new order and gave them an ETA. After printing it I realized that there was a note on it that said "any claim arising our of abstractor/vendor work on this order will be fully paid by the abstractor/vendor." After I read that I emailed them letting them know I wouldn't be processing the order. They then tried calling be back a few times and finally later that day "Victor" got me back on the phone to ask why there was a problem. I explained I was not comfortable working under those explicit conditions. I'm not sure he understood but he got it that I would not be doing the order. A few moments later who I can only imagine was his supervisor called me back and asked me what the problem was. I again explained that I was not comfortable with that language on the order. He tried to smooth talk me several times. He said he could get me a lot of work. I replied "And then I would still not be comfortable working under those explicit terms". They were annoyingly persistent to the point that it got uncomfortable. Annoyance aside be aware of that info on their order sheets. I would not recommend working under those explicit terms.
