The moment anyone tries to make healthcare for all like other civilized nations, they are labeled socialist. This socialist charge is a position created and funded by those who have the most to lose. The same charge was yelled when we created Medicaid/Medicare and social security. It is misinformation to sway the uninformed masses,  creating division and hatred as we saw with the posting from the guy getting out his gun. Sarah Palin should be ashamed of herself fanning these flames when she could be using her voice to create unity, the United States. History seems to be repeating itself as neighbor is pitted against neighbor. I was at the mailbox and a neighbor said 'what do you think of your Obama now, you socialist commie!'  A friend was in a checkout line discussing healthcare and a woman overhearing started yelling 'socialst - look everybody- a socialst!'. Mobilized mobs, their opinions formed by the Fox misinformation network are in the streets, with guns even now.

We could say we have socialized police and fire care. Can you imagine if they demanded your proof of coverage before helping, or being forced into bankruptcy afterwards because you could not afford to pay, or watching your house burn  because you had no money?  How about hearing others say you were irresponsible for not having better coverage like I got, why should I pay for yours? We take care of our citizens. Healthcare has become separated from that priniciple over the years, and most do not realize it.  It should be illegal to profit from our sick and weak. It is immoral. Our outrage has been misdirected by those who profit from our deaths. We should be in the streets in unity against those who keep us in bondage to their premiums, against those who deny us treatment, against those who decide if we and our children live or die based on their bottom line. We can care for all if we eliminate profit-based insurance. Sadly that idea was off the table from the start, so now we discuss who gets what for how much and who gets left out. Even suggesting 'public option' or medicare for all has become un-American. Our true enemie's money has been well spent. Mr Potter wins and we get Potterville USA.
