Thanks, Robert. I love the forums and I learn a lot on here. I appreciate when we get a "heads up" on a company that doesn't pay (or hasn't paid an abstractor who posts about it) or when someone has had experience with a company (good or bad). Whenever I am approached by a new client, I always check here first. I have, on occassion, accepted work from a company with less than positive feedback - I'll let them know upfront that they've gotten a "reputation" and give them a chance to defend anything I've heard about them. I don't name my source and they don't ever ask. Usually, what's been report is true, they'll admit, but we'll work something out. I've had positive experiences and I've been burned a couple of times (my own fault - I was warned :-) ). But it's nice to know ahead of time what I MAY be getting into. Posts should be professional and I agree, only about that person's personal experience.
As for the name calling that happened (last week?) - I couldn't believe I was seeing that on here. In all of these years, I have never seen a personal attack so vulgar and uncalled for. Thanks for stepping in, Robert - even though one would assume that people know how to conduct themselves on here. And again, thanks for bringing us SOT! :-)
