So he, who basically just gets the order, orders the search from a searcher and then sends it to his client, is hoping to make more than the person who actually does the work and passes off the liability to me.   That caught my eye;  I actually called my E&O years ago to see who, in that ype of situation, would be liable, and I was told not only the person who did the search but also the person who the search was originally assigned to.  I think a lot a people think they have no liabilty if they take an order that was assigned to them and pay another abstractor to do it, but the insurance company says a mistake will cause both to be liable.  Which would mean all the abstractors out there, working like a vendor management company, are still liable for each and every search whether that abstractor preformed the actual search or not.  Was I told wrong?  just curious
