We do report errors to the ROD, to help us all; but we make copies of index pages most of the time as we search, to protect ourselves. Some counties have a section to remark on correction dates; others do not. One county didn't have a method, and didn't understand why it was important for quite a long time; but finally changed their "system" to include a way to note correction dates. Keeping index copies is still the best way for us. A scanner pen or digital camera will preserve the evidence if it can't be taken to the copy machine.
