I think anyone over 50 should have "had their hands on" a title abstract if they
bought any real estate in their lifetime. Any property I purchased up to 15
years ago came with a title abstract which my atty. reviewed and issued a
letter of title based on that abstract which was certified to the date of closing
on my purchase.
Perhaps with "title insurance' in place today, no atty. ever has to lay their hands
on a title abstract. Don't they teach such things in law school ?
