Just saw a handheld scanner in operation - seemed to work just fine. It's small - fits into a briefcase without much squeezing & copies are downloaded directly to computer with a cable. Copies were relatively clear. Odd name for it though - "Magic Wand" available at Bed & Bath & Beyond. Need a media card to go with it which is also sold at Bed & Bath. I think the total price quoted to me was around $90. I don't have much need for a scanner anymore - I can get 99% of my copies online for free directly from the Registry websites I go to, but this looked like a pretty decent deal. I've spoken to two examiners who are using it & both of them told me that they really liked it. I used to use an HP Capshare handheld about ten years ago & liked it. I would say that this copy quality is better than the Capshare's (of course - newer technology).
