Undisclosed Code Violation Notices Leave Homebuyers Holding the Bag
Is a code violation that is 1.) discovered months before a sale 2.) made known to the seller or its agent, and 3.) memorialized in publicly available records, considered to be a title defect and subject to title insurance coverage? The answer seems to be no, at least in California.
